Who I am
Thank you for visiting my page. I hope you had a pleasant viewing experience and enjoyed the photos.
I am landscape photographer, who follows the principle that less is more. This is not only reflected in my photography, but through the way I dress, to the way I present things, in print form or in digital. It is very important to me how others receive my work and what they get from viewing my images, currently I am working on developing a body of work, with just one aim - to allow people to visual relax - to take a break.
I am doing this by creating a series of images that people can use as a distraction to help them clear their mind, using the principle of escapism and practicing the exercise of simple externalisation with my photos. In today’s society we are surrounded by negative headlines busy imagery. I’d like to contribute to creating a leisurely outlook by producing images, which allow people to relax, and observe, and by looking at something familiar which is presented differently, the viewers of my imagery can focus on something else as opposed to what they have going on in their lives, whether thats for a few seconds, or for a couple of minutes.
The primary purpose of my photography is for it to act as a relaxant, and I strive to bring this element of my personal work to my clients, by providing them with a delicate look and feel to the imagery, focusing on removing the clutter and producing images which aren’t visually heavy. The purpose of my body of work is inspired by my fathers work in the health sector, following the support work father provides day in day out, I want my photography to be therapeutic to the viewer. I use my knowledge, experience, and the skills I have acquired as best as I can to help people.
I hope this gives you a better insight into who I am as a person, and as a photographer. If you have any enquiries don’t hesitate to contact me. I would love to hear from you.
